Reusable Packaging Company Steps Up to Provide Free Face Shields in Cincinnati
Cincinnati, OH – Solo Products, Inc., a trusted name in reusable packaging and custom fabrication, has launched a new initiative to support healthcare workers by producing and donating personal protective equipment (PPE). As part of this effort, the company is now offering free face shields to hospitals and healthcare organizations in need.
This initiative is one piece of Solo Products’ broader response to COVID-19.
This builds on Solo’s original COVID-19 support for frontline workers, when the company first began producing face shields.
Solo’s in-house fabrication team quickly adapted their production lines to manufacture protective plastic face shields in response to shortages caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. These shields, currently being distributed at no cost, have already reached major healthcare systems including UC Health, Atrium Health, and Mercy Health.
“As a small business with the tools and materials on-site, it made perfect sense to pivot into PPE production,” said Steve Kunkemoeller, Founder of Solo Products. “We may be a modest operation, but we’re committed to doing our part to support our community and healthcare heroes.”
